Bolt People! Dec 17

  • Bolt People! Dec 17

December 17th (Sunday 10a-4p)

Create a figurine of your own design using nuts and bolts along with various bits of scrap metal while learning the basics of welding.

This workshop will teach you how to use and understand the components of a MIG welding machine, and how to safely operate an induction forge in order to form various parts of your bolt figure. Students can feel free to bring their own materials.

Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding is the process of using electricity and argon gas to weld two pieces of metal together. It is the simplest and easiest form of welding, making it accessible for the average person to learn.

Class is limited to six participants (minimum of three), ages 18+

This is open to anyone 18 and up. No welding experience necessary. Please wear hair tied back, closed-toe boots, jeans, and long-sleeved shirts.

Your materials fee pays for steel & gas. We provide safety protection including welding helmets, goggles, leather jackets, and gloves.
